2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Atlanta, Georgia is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals early in their careers who want to be immersed in a culture of mentorship, hands-on learning, and upward mobility within a premier private club environment.
Duties:
• Assists in daily maintenance planning, crew supervision, and training.
• Responsible for irrigation system repairs, maintenance, scheduling, and inventory.
• Assists with and executes fertilizer and pesticide applications, including calibration and record-keeping.
• Monitors and enforces safety procedures and club policies.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment and turfgrass maintenance practices.
• Records and reports weather, irrigation, and chemical application data.
• Serves as acting assistant superintendent in their absence.
Requirements:
Associate degree in turfgrass management or related field (preferred).
Minimum of one year experience on a golf course with bentgrass greens.
Knowledge of irrigation systems, fertilization/pesticide applications, and golf course operations.
Georgia pesticide license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Valid Georgia driver’s license.
Understanding of golf and etiquette.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Willingness to present education and career goals annually.
Compensation:
$21.00 – $22.00 per hour.
