Position Summary

New River Electrical is searching for a highly self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Finance team. The AR Clerk will perform administrative work and data entry tasks for accounting data. This position reports to the AR Supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conducts routine data entry management for accounts receivable accounting records.
• Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
• Posts daily cash receipts via ACH deposits.
• Prepares, uploads, and posts desktop deposits as needed.
• Distributes AR aging to responsible parties for review and comments. Compiles results for management review.
• Assist with AR collection efforts through research and communication with billing and operations teams.
• Reviews job set-up for accuracy and performs job interfacing process.
• May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed.
• Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
• Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience with Excel is required.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organization skills, and time management.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged period of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m in Corporate Office.
