Accounts Receivable Manager

Bear Robotics is at the forefront of automated hospitality solutions, pioneering AI-driven autonomous robots. We're seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to take ownership of the US and EMEA AR function within our growing, fast-paced robotics company. This role goes beyond day-to-day processingyou'll help optimize our billing operations, drive improvements in collections, and act as a key liaison between Finance, Sales, and Operations. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including billing, payment application, collections, and reconciliations
  • Lead the preparation and issuance of complex or high-volume invoices
  • Review contracts and sales agreements to ensure billing accuracy and alignment with terms
  • Monitor aging reports, proactively follow up on overdue accounts, and lead escalation efforts for collections
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to resolve billing disputes and improve customer experience
  • Analyze customer account trends to identify risks and recommend credit or payment term adjustments
  • Own AR-related month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Drive improvements in AR processes, systems, and reporting to support scalability as the business grows
  • Build global scalable AR processes partnering with US, EMEA and APAC team members
  • Work with and manage outside collections agents
  • Lead AR vendor management and work cross functionally across departments
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of collections, credit risk, and contract-based billing
  • Proven management experience over AR functions and vendors
  • Previous experience in leadership or managerial roles
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, startup or scale-up environment

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and how it impacts billing
  • Experience working with cross-border customers and multi-currency AR
  • Exposure to Salesforce or CRM tools as part of the billing workflow
  • Experience in finance transformation with the goal of achieving operational excellence

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Experience in a technology-driven or hardware-focused company (robotics, manufacturing, or SaaS + hardware is a plus)
