Join to apply for the Archaeologist role at Stantec . This is a remote‑eligible position based out of any of Stantec’s Northern California offices. It reports to a Staff Supervisor and focuses on cultural resource management (CRM) review and report writing for utility projects across California. Your Key Responsibilities Write CRM desktop reviews and reports. Identify and record archaeological potential, sites, and traditional use sites. Work closely with senior staff to make technical recommendations for projects. Process field data and collaborate with the GIS team to visualize pertinent information. Capabilities and Credentials Experience in CRM. Demonstrated commitment to a strong safety culture. Proven expertise in writing CRM reviews and reports. Provide at least two CRM report writing samples upon interview. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology. Minimum of 1 year of related writing experience in CRM. Preferred Qualifications Regulatory experience and familiarity with California DPR 523 forms. Experience in cultural monitoring, survey, and excavation. Participation in an archaeological field school. Advanced degree. Pay Range Locations in CO, HI, MD & various CA, NJ areas – $67,300.00 – $97,600.00. Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP) – $77,100.00 – $111,800.00.
