Job Description

We are looking to hire a LOCAL Driver that is based in the Geismar LA area. Picking up and delivering bulk liquids (haz and non haz). There are no hoses, nor any pumping required. This is limited to no Driver Touch.


All of the Deliveries will be made into Geismar but will pick up from surrounding local Pick Up spots. There should be an opportunity to get 2-3 loads in a day on some days. There are loads that need to get picked up in Houston and delivered into Geismar, so please expect to spend 1-2 nights a week in the truck and the rest will be local runs. If things go well, you should be able to make the Geismar > Houston > Geismar run in one day, but if not, you will have to sleep in the truck for that night and deliver in the am. If you can drive empty to Houston, get loaded and get back, then reset in your own bed, then deliver in the morning, that is fine. The facilities are 24/7.

The majority of the runs are withitn 20-50 miles of Geismar, the Houston runs are less frequent.

 
This is not a 100% local job. It is likely that it will be primarily local but please have the expectation that you will spend 1-2 nights out. There is a chance this evolves past the Houston run into other Southeast USA runs, but we plan to hire another true OTR driver for that, but please be flexible in the event that occurs.


Job details:

• Truck will be a new model auto trans Sleeper or a Day Cab with a Stainless 407 Tanker with a 3-inch Camlock. There are no Wash Outs required as you will be hauling the same product. 
• There will be some Weekend work. 
• This job will require communication as you will be the only Driver in this remote terminal as we are based in Houston. 
• You will need to be mechanically inclined as you will need to help us take care of the Truck and Trailer.
• We will send our Mechanic when needed, but for small fixes, we will expect you to help fix (we will pay you for this additional service).

 
We need a hard worker, with great work ethic, an incredible communicator but above all else a SAFE and reliable Driver. 

 
We pay by the load, the expected pay is $1400-2000 per week. Working 5-6 days a week. MUST HAVE TWIC

 
You will be W2 employee with Workers Comp and a full slate of Benefits offered to the employed Driver.
