Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Midland, Texas. This role is essential in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to excellence, and a keen ability to improve processes. Responsibilities: - Oversee all aspects of daily accounting, including general ledger entries, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and collections. - Monitor and manage cash flow to meet operational needs and financial objectives. - Establish and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations. - Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyses for senior management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business planning. - Lead and mentor a small accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration. - Partner with operations teams to provide financial insights that drive informed business decisions. - Evaluate and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. - Handle month-end closings and prepare journal entries. - Manage quarterly tax projections and coordinate with external parties on annual tax submissions. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting and financial management, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and collections. - Strong understanding of financial regulations and internal controls. - Exceptional skills in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. - Leadership experience, including managing and mentoring accounting teams. - Proficiency in evaluating and improving accounting processes. - Experience with tax planning and compliance, including quarterly projections. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Advanced proficiency in document control and organization, including scanning and compiling financial documents.
