The Disney Cruise Line Youth Activities Coordinator supports Youth Activities across all ships and private island destinations. They will provide support and manage multiple projects at a time for the Youth Activities Operations team, including preparing reports, gathering information, and handling various administrative tasks.


What You Will Do

  • Review, update, and maintain accurate records and documentation including, Location Operating Guidelines, Training Guides, and Daily Checklists for the Youth Activities department.

  • Run reports and provide analysis of operational performance data and metrics, identifying trends, and providing basic insights and recommendations for improvements.

  • Serve as point of contact for shipboard Youth Activities Leadership teams for basic operational inquiries and updates.

  • Assist Leaders with any ad-hoc tasks and projects related to Youth Activities Operations.

  • Support the shoreside and onboard, Youth Activities Operations Leaders in succession planning tracking and documentation.

  • Partner with Youth Activities Leaders to support the scheduling and rotations for positions within the department, as applicable.

  • Participate in regular meetings and provide updates on project statuses.

  • Administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, creating PowerPoint presentations, taking meeting notes, tracking follow-up to completion, coordinating expense reports, compiling and entering data into systems, and other related responsibilities. 

  • Strong understanding of childcare and children’s entertainment, guest services and safety, security and supervision standards.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and resolve issues efficiently.

  • A strong communicator who takes initiative, possess a positive and empathetic attitude and a strong desire to get things done.

  • SMS – Responsible for upholding general safety management responsibilities in the Safety Management System within the areas under their control. 

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Familiarity and experience in the administration of youth-related operations in parks, recreation, tourism, or related fields for 1-2 years.

  • Computer and technology proficiency (Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to project manage a high-volume of tactical programs and prioritize time sensitive information.

  • Self-starter who is solution focused and takes initiative to problem solve.

  • Ability to work independently and with others in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Possess strong written and verbal communications, plus excellent listening skills and superior professionalism.

  • Develop partnerships to foster a collaborative working environment.

  • Flexibility in work schedule, including occasional travel, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Disney Cruise Line Youth Activities and/or shipboard operations.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in entertainment, recreation, hospitality or equivalent.
