Customer Service Lead (Manufacturing)
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA (100% relocation assistance available)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Customer Service Leader is responsible for strategic customer service leadership & operations at our Cedar Rapids IA location. You will be supporting a multinational OEM manufacturer of highly engineered motion control products that are utilized across numerous industries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• In this role, you will lead the daily customer service department workflow to ensure customers (Distributors & OEM’s) are serviced in a satisfying manner, and company goals are met.
• Intervene in and directly manage challenging customer situations through research, direct communication, and any other means (including coaching, mentoring CSR’s) necessary to resolve outstanding issues.
• The team consists of 13 on-site customer service reps + 1 remote. Needs to work with dynamic personalities and to hold team accountable to maintain standards and processes. Demonstrated ability to diplomatically build personal connections yet maintain a professional working environment, develop underperforming CSR’s, build their skillsets, and meet expectations.
• Strong skills to manage data to bring about continuous improvement and Lean methodologies.
• Effective communication skills and project management experience.
• The position will interact daily with customers, operations, logistics, and sales staff to effectively meet customer service standards and support Parker’s strategic initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a supervisorial role within customer service supporting the manufacturing of physical products.
• 4-year college degree in business or related discipline.
• Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and processes. (Salesforce, Power Bi).
• You must possess advanced computer skills and understand electronic processing.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for an effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
