Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Operations to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our luxury hotel in Westchester County, NY — with expertise in Housekeeping and Front Office Management. This dynamic leader will be accountable for delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a culture of service, quality, and accountability. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of daily hotel operations with a strong focus on Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, Bell/Door, and Valet services.
  • Ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction through exceptional service delivery, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Develop and implement service standards, operational procedures, and quality control initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage departmental performance, labor costs, and operating expenses to achieve financial goals.
  • Mentor and develop department heads and line-level leaders to build a high-performance team.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain impeccable standards in cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance.
  • Drive a proactive approach to guest feedback, responding to service opportunities and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Partner with other members of the Executive Leadership Team on strategic planning, capital projects, and guest experience initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, health and safety regulations, and local laws.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of leadership experience in hotel operations, with significant expertise in luxury Housekeeping and Front Office management.
  • Proven track record of operational excellence in luxury hotel environments.
  • Marriott brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets and driving profitability.
  • Inspirational leadership style with the ability to build and mentor strong teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to quality and service.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and a guest-first mindset.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is required.
