We are searching for a EHS coordinator located in Whittier with a aerospace company.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented EHS Coordinator to oversee and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations within our organization. The EHS Coordinator will play a key role in fostering a safe and sustainable work environment, helping to mitigate risks, and ensuring the well-being of our employees, visitors, and the surrounding community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee the training of employees on EHS procedures, equipment handling, emergency response, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of safety activities, including incident reports, inspections, audits, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with department heads and management to address EHS-related concerns and continuously improve safety standards.
• Assist in the preparation and review of safety documentation for regulatory inspections and audits.
• Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, energy consumption, and other sustainability initiatives.
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, or near-misses, ensuring that proper corrective and preventive measures are taken.
• Stay up to date with new regulations, industry trends, and best practices to improve the EHS program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field experience (preferred).
• Proven experience in EHS roles, preferably in a aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies’ guidelines and standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Certification in safety programs (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, NEBOSH, or similar) is a plus.
• Proficient with EHS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
