Position Summary:

The Executive Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and revenue cycle management of Newman Regional Health. Must have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. This role is responsible for oversight of the billing, coding, and collections processes to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided.

Essential Functions/Job Duties

Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle performance, improve cash flow, and maximize revenue generation
Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential revenue leakage.
Ensures accurate and compliant coding and billing practices in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Directly supervise the patient access and scheduling team. Collaborating with coding and billing teams to optimize revenue capture and minimize denials
Oversees the day-today operations of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, insurance verification, claims submission, payment posting, and collections.
Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, payor guidelines, and internal policies related to revenue cycle management. Conducts regular audits to identify and address potential compliance issues
Collaborates with clinical and operational teams to optimize revenue integrity by ensuring accurate charge capture, documentation, and reimbursement for services provided
Leads and develops a team of revenue cycle professionals
Evaluating, implementing, and optimizing revenue cycle management systems technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and revenue capture
Collaborate with external vendors and partners to optimize revenue cycle performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements

Skills & Abilities

Bachelors degree required in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business or a related field. Master's degree preferred
Extensive experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in a leadership role within a healthcare system of hospital
Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) certification is a plus
