ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a joint venture owned by Chevron and Jacksons Food Stores. The ExtraMile network is currently made up of more than 1,100 convenience stores in California, Pacific Northwest, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and the Southeast. The growth of the Company has resulted in opportunities to expand the ExtraMile brand within the current footprint, as well as to other states - resulting in exciting new employment opportunities. We are currently seeking a store readiness Franchise Business Consultant that will be home-based in the greater Atlanta, GA area, with possible responsibilities throughout the Southeast. This position requires the ability to communicate with all levels of the company, but most importantly with our Franchise Owners. Pay: $90,000 - $120,000/yr. DOE, plus bonus opportunity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leads operational aspects of store openings and consistently aligns with several other key stakeholders to include senior leadership, merchandising, operations, construction, pricebook, and training teams. Manage and monitor the progress and performance to support store openings. Gain knowledge of specific local ordinances as it relates to permitting, inspections, etc. Acquire familiarity and expertise with retail technologies specific to the ExtraMile program (Point of Sale and Back Office Systems) Partner with key stakeholders and vendor partner(s) to determine communication strategies to customers. Develop beneficial business relationship with all Franchisees in assigned area. Provide support to Franchisees on profitability and the establishment of sales goals. Support and direct merchandising execution and compliance, including any store special events (grand openings, customer appreciation events, special site promotions, etc.). Manage openings in assigned area(s), and ensure compliance with planogram (POG), promotions and point of purchase (POP) execution, resolve price book and back-office system (BOS) issues as needed. Work closely with the ExtraMile Southeast team to ensure franchisee satisfaction. Schedule meetings with Franchisee and Managers to conduct business planning sessions. Provide support to Franchisee to increase production and profitability, as well as compliance of all image evaluations and customer service standards for proper brand representation and compliance with ExtraMile branded agreements. Quickly identify performance evaluation success or issues and effectively communicate to Franchisee for resolution. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Competencies: A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred. 7+ years' experience in Retail and Franchise with an understanding of convenience store retailing, marketing strategies, Franchise brand guidelines and an ability to execute franchise programs successfully. Knowledge of fuel jobber/marketer industry a plus. Strong business, financial, and analytical skills, along with an understanding of Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Power BI and CRM programs. Adaptability & Agility - Embraces change with a positive attitude, adjusts quickly, and seeks solutions proactively.
