We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about fire safety and construction design to make a significant impact on our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing fire protection systems for our construction projects. This position requires an individual with a strong background in fire protection systems design, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating safe and secure environments.
Responsibilities:
- Designing comprehensive fire sprinkler systems for a variety of construction projects, ensuring all designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate fire sprinkler systems into building designs.
- Reviewing blueprints and specifications to determine the most effective and efficient fire protection systems.
- Conducting site inspections to ensure fire sprinkler systems are installed correctly and functioning optimally.
- Providing technical support and guidance to construction teams during the installation of fire sprinkler systems.
- Utilizing CAD software to create detailed and accurate fire sprinkler system designs.
- Continually staying updated on new advancements in fire protection technology and incorporating these advancements into designs where appropriate.
- Performing hydraulic calculations and equipment selection.
- Coordinating with local fire departments and building officials during the design and installation process.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in fire protection systems design, specifically in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
- Strong understanding of fire protection standards and building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Professional certification in fire protection design (e.g., Certified Fire Protection Specialist) is highly desirable.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Capable of conducting site inspections and comfortable working in a variety of construction environments.
