Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized education to students across K-12 grades, focusing on special education needs. Key Qualifications:

• Active State Special Education Teaching License
• Experience working with students in grades K-12, including elementary (K-5), middle (6-8), and high school (9-12)
• Ability to manage self-contained classrooms and resource/special day programs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Location: Hoquiam, WA
Contract Duration: January 2026 June 2026
Hours: 30 to 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
Age Group: Students from Kindergarten through 12th Grade

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized instructional plans according to student needs and IEP goals
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to support academic and social growth
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor and enhance student progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state policies
• Create a positive, structured classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
