Housekeeper / Household Assistant

Hourly : $35 – 40per hour 

Locations : Central Park West, Manhattan, NY (with occasional travel to the Hamptons and West Palm Beach, FL)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday with flexibility required for occasional travel and weekend support
Compensation: Commensurate with experience for 40 hours of work ($75,000 - $85,000 yearly), including benefits (PTO, Sick days, and other benefits). 

Overview:
A private family is seeking a warm, attentive, and experienced Housekeeper / Household Assistant to support a couple in their Manhattan residence. The ideal candidate will have a background in senior care within a private home and a proactive, helper mindset. This role requires someone who is compassionate, reliable, and capable of managing day-to-day support for the couple while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily assistance to an elderly gentleman and his wife in a respectful and dignified manner
• Prepare healthy and well-balanced meals tailored to dietary needs
• Accompany Mr. to medical appointments and manage transportation logistics
• Offer medication reminders and ensure schedules are followed
• Assist with light housekeeping and general household organization
• Run errands, grocery shopping, and help with daily planning
• Travel with the couple to their secondary homes in the Hamptons and West Palm Beach as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a caregiver or household assistant in a private home
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to travel domestically and work occasional weekends or evenings
• Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor
• Comfortable with light cooking and knowledgeable about healthy nutrition
• CPR/First Aid certification strongly preferred
• Has a genuine passion for helping others
• Is highly organized, dependable, and discreet
• Thrives in a role that blends caregiving with household support
• Brings a positive, can-do attitude and emotional intelligence
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid Driver's License
