Work in a large 37-acre wooded property that also includes a garden with 1000's of plants. 20 min northwest of Portland.
Job Description:
Work in maintenance of the landscape and property, including weeding, pruning, edging, brush-cutting, hauling, cutting wood, planting, and controlling blackberries and other invasives. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience with landscape plants and maintenance or has worked in a nursery or landscape maintenance company.
Qualifications :
· Experience in landscaping or plant nurseries required.
· Willing to work hard - digging, weeding, hauling, etc, is all part of the job
· Must have experience using landscape maintenance tools, including edger, string trimmer, blower, backpack sprayer, etc. Also a benefit if can operate a chainsaw.
· Experience fixing irrigation (spray and drip), building/ repairing retaining walls, and fixing landscape lighting
· Physically able to do the work described. Ability to lift 40-50 lbs regularly and safely.
· Detail-oriented and careful
· Excellent communication skills
· Knowledge of plants that grow well in Oregon
