This is an Operations position responsible for overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance activities associated with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and maintenance of industrial batteries. Responsibilities include adherence to safety policies, proficiency in electrical meter testing, knowledge of controls and electric AC & DC low voltage, understanding and troubleshooting PLCs, motors and motor starters, contactor and relay repair, electrical repairs and welding, preventive maintenance of MHE fleet, hydraulic and electrical systems knowledge, mechanical systems knowledge, special projects related to building or grounds maintenance, assisting battery technicians, participation in on-call program, logging time and materials in CMMS, housekeeping of maintenance areas, tool and equipment maintenance, safety compliance, emergency response, training and mentoring MHE Tech I and II. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, preferred tech school or equivalent, six years of MHE maintenance experience or equivalent, valid state driver's license, completion of defensive driving program, obtaining Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months, MHE 8 hour maintenance tech certificate, preferred trade electrical training, ability to read and interpret technical procedures, and physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 100 pounds. Working conditions include exposure to various environmental conditions, non-traditional business hours, occasional travel, and exposure to fumes and noise.
