Job Summary: As a
Network Security Engineer , you will manage, troubleshoot, secure, and automate tasks for internal company/client networks. You will collaborate with industry leaders to secure and stabilize company and client infrastructures, using knowledge of network protocols, ethical hacking, and expertise with Meraki, Crowdstrike, Datto RMM, EntraID, and Powershell. This role entails leading small-scale IT projects, managing systems and security tools, and providing mentorship through escalated technical support. Participation in professional development and certifications is expected. All applicants must pass a practical skills assessment.
Key Responsibilities: -
Network Security Management: Implement, manage, and monitor security solutions (Meraki, Crowdstrike, Datto RMM) to protect infrastructure.

Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain Powershell scripts to automate and optimize tasks.

Identity and Access Management: Secure user identities and manage access through EntraID.

Ethical Hacking: Perform ongoing security assessments, vulnerability, and penetration testing.

Project Management: Lead small-scale IT projects, sticking to deadlines and goals.

Network Administration: Configure and maintain network devices for performance and security.

Incident Response: Respond to security incidents, generate reports, and propose improvements.

Documentation: Maintain network configuration, security policies, and process documentation.

Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional client experience for every interaction.

Technical Support: Address support/service requests and participate in on-site visits.

Preventative Maintenance: Improve hardware/systems, perform routine maintenance, meet SLA expectations.

Training: Train end-users in system application use and security.

Workflow Assessment: Identify and address workflow and business needs for improvement.

Escalation/Mentorship: Support teammates with troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Installation/Configuration: Set up servers, desktops, printers, BDRs, and software.

Technical Reviews: Conduct technical reviews and recommend solutions/quotes.

Security Protocols: Adhere to and help implement security best practices.

On-Call Rotation: Participate in team on-call rotation.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Requirements: Education/Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Network Security.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Technical Skills: - Proficient in Meraki, Crowdstrike, Datto RMM, EntraID, and Powershell scripting.
- Deep understanding of network principles, security, protocols, and best practices.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft 365, Azure, Teams, Netwrix Auditor, and Panther.
- Strong scripting and automation expertise.
Certifications: - Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar certifications preferred.
