Kunai builds full-stack technology solutions for banks, credit and payment networks, infrastructure providers, and their customers. At Kunai, we help our clients modernize, capitalize on emerging trends, and evolve their business for the coming decades by remaining tech-agnostic and human-centered.

We're launching a set of new development teams to work on one of the most advanced data driven decision systems in the banking industry. The teams will create real-time customer experiences and back end services that determine the credit worthiness of applicants and decision customers on new credit card products.

As a Product Owner, you'll lead the effort to build out the customer acquisition experiences and back end services that support the credit decision microservices determining which card products can be assigned to new applicants. These are always-on systems that need to be highly resilient and stable with 99.99% uptime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute technical product strategies for client initiatives.
• Lead engineering teams focused on the development of highly resilient applications.
• Communicate project progress and updates to stakeholders through clear and compelling presentations and reports.
• Align product development efforts with business goals and customer requirements.
• Leverage agile methodologies to ensure high-quality, on-time product delivery.

Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience as a Product Manager/Owner, with the ability to lead and run Scrum teams.
• Strong technical understanding, including a background in software engineering, platform design, and/or solutions architecture, is a strong plus.
• Exceptional communication skills for engaging effectively with internal and external teams/stakeholders.
• Experience working with GoLang based applications a plus.
• Adept at working outside of matrixed environments and managing beyond the initial project scope.
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to senior-level stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA or Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Agile product management/ownership.
• Experience working on cloud-based platforms, ideally with a focus on AWS.

This is a hybrid position requiring two days onsite in Chicago, IL or McLean, VA.
