Job Description

Rohde & Schwarz USA’s critical infrastructure business unit is expanding and seeking talent with Federal Government experience. This opening is for an experienced Project Planner/Scheduler to join our team and support our Air Traffic Control (ATC) programs. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Strong candidates will demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, be goal oriented, and customer focused. Candidates must be based in the Baltimore/Virginia/DC area and be a US person capable of receiving a U.S. Government Public Trust Clearance.

Your tasks

  • Create, monitor, and update comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard tools to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify and allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and optimize productivity.
  • Identify potential scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
  • Generate regular reports on project status, schedule adherence, and resource utilization for internal and client review.
  • Ensure all project schedules comply with relevant regulations and standards

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with a focus on engineering projects for federal agencies and aerospace clients.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Open Plan) and familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. Capability to use MS Office tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • In order to be considered, external candidates must be a US person capable of receiving a U.S. Government Public Trust Clearance.

The total compensation for this position is $100K-$150K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
