Your Role in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Our ICU is dedicated to treating patients with complex medical conditions requiring advanced medical, surgical, and cardiac care. You will encounter a variety of diagnoses, including:

• Sepsis
• Respiratory issues
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Suicide and overdose monitoring
• Post-cardiac arrest hypothermia
• Altered mental status
• Stroke

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct nursing care to patients.
• Implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and updating patient care plans.
• Documenting and communicating patients’ conditions effectively.
• Administering prescribed medications and treatments.
• Carrying out physician and nursing orders.
• Assessing and coordinating patients’ discharge needs.
• Educating patients and their families.

Are You the Right Fit?

Minimum qualifications include:

• Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year of current acute care RN experience (military RN experience considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire or within six months.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements

• Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Adherence to standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
