This is a great opportunity for a safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is passionate about creating a culture where safety is truly prioritized. The company has a strong presence across the Houston market, delivering high-quality commercial construction projects and maintaining an excellent reputation for jobsite safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and enforce the company-wide Safety Program in alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Advise project teams on all health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with industry, local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Conduct safety orientations for new hires and provide PPE distribution and training.
  • Support weekly toolbox talks by supplying training materials to all project sites.
  • Perform regular site safety inspections and maintain inspection checklists.
  • Lead incident investigations and maintain accurate OSHA 300 logs for both prime and subcontractors.
  • Report inspection results and provide quarterly safety performance summaries to senior management.
  • Recommend improvements to safety programs based on incident trends and quarterly analysis.
  • Attend pre-construction and progress meetings to represent safety interests and ensure early planning for risk mitigation.
  • Enforce Hazard Prevention and Emergency Preparedness programs.
  • Track and resolve safety deficiencies using a structured monitoring system.
  • Ensure all subcontractors comply with project safety standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date safety documentation, including hazardous materials and Safety Data Sheets.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience as a Safety Manager within the commercial construction sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Confident leading safety programs across multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • OSHA certification and related safety qualifications are highly preferred.
