Job Description

Position : Sr. SAP Business Analyst SD & IS-OIL

Location : Houston or Dallas, TX Onsite

Duration : Long term contract

Use Case:

SAP SD & IS Oil and Gas contractor is required to help with projects. The primary responsibility would be to help drive requirements gathering, identify gaps, document process design document (PDD), help with testing, training and be the overall lead in the Quote to Cash area. The contractor will work closely with SAP IT team. The person will be the primary bridge between Business and SAP IT team to ensure and facilitate current project related processes and gaps are identified, documented, developed and tested.

Current project for Parkland Integration, there is a requirement to hire OIL and Gas BAs to help support the hydrocarbon and quote-to-cash area for a global implementation to support US, Canada and Caribbean countries.

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in Sales and Distribution (SD) and IS-OIL modules. This role focuses on process design, documentation, identify gaps, help with key design decisions, test coordination, and training . The senior analyst will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and SAP functional teams to ensure SAP solutions meets project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and gather requirements for SAP SD and IS-OIL.
• Develop Process Design Documents (PDDs) . Understand the business process of two systems and identify gaps, help with key design decisions.
• Work closely with SAP functional team to help drive the design process.
• Create and maintain test scripts for functional and integration testing.
• Coordinate Testing and create test scripts, Unit Testing, SIT (System Integration Testing), ( User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and track defect resolution.
• Prepare training materials and conduct end-user training sessions.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions with business and IT teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience:
  • 8+ years in SAP SD and IS-OIL business analysis roles.
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash processes and Oil & Gas industry requirements.
  • Experience with SAP SD and IS-Oil Configuration which includes pricing conditions, credit management, delivery, billing, and transportation.
• Core Competencies:
  • Expertise in writing process design documents and test scripts.
  • Familiarity with SAP SD and IS-OIL functionalities (TD, Bulk Transportation, Hydrocarbon Management).
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field.
• SAP certification in SD (preferred).
• Experience with S/4HANA projects and Agile methodologies.
