Role: Salesforce Lead Developer

Day to Day Actions:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing solutions within our highly customised Salesforce platform. The role will involve working in an agile team and meeting with Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Administrators and business stakeholders to analyse project objectives, develop new Salesforce applications and enhance existing applications, developing and automating workflows, and troubleshooting application errors, and contribute to supporting more general issues that occur across our Salesforce platform.
The role is a hands-on role with a layer of additional responsibility. Taking ownership for development of one or more of our platform products and being the key liaison point between the product management team and the development team. As a lead position this role would also be seen as the technical lead for more junior developers and would entail guiding and coaching teammates in those positions.
Responsibilities:
• Develop customised solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, stakeholder requirements, and company goals.
• As a Salesforce Developer, you will be expected to have a deep understanding of the Salesforce.com platform and its capabilities, and to apply this understanding to complex business problems to implement robust, maintainable solutions that meet stakeholder requirements.
• Help with the management, daily support and maintenance of the instance and help conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving requirements.
Experience:
• Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer or Salesforce Administrator, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
• Experience with large, highly customised Salesforce.com environments and working with large data volumes in a bigger and international team.
• Good communication skills and understanding of business processes to analyse requirements and present technical solutions
• Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Certified Salesforce.com Developer or equivalent experience.(PD2, Javascript developer 1, Sales cloud, Experience cloud)
• Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes.
• Proven experience in Salesforce.com development using Apex, Visualforce, LWC, SOQL, and Web Services.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce.com's best practices - maintain code documentation and write / maintain test classes for all custom development.
• Proven experience with Salesforce.com developer toolkit such as Force.com IDE, Visual Studio, Web Services/SOA & Metadata APIs, Sandbox environments.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce.com architecture and how to best leverage and utilise the platform.
• Proficient in writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well.
• Strong knowledge of CRM software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
• Familiarity with APEX design patterns and object-oriented programming paradigms.
• Excellent knowledge of Salesforce APIs and capable of designing and building web services, either RESTful or SOAP. (nice to have)
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience of Copado / Gearset or similar DevOps / CI / CD Tooling.
• Experience of AccelQ or other test automation solutions.
• Nice to have experience with CRMA or other cloud-based analytics platform knowledge.
