We are seeking a experienced Senior SQL Database Administrators to support enterprise-level database environments. This role involves managing and maintaining SQL Server, SQL Clusters, MariaDB, MySQL, and MS Access databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across systems.

Responsibilities Provide day-to-day support for SQL Server, SQL Cluster, MariaDB, MySQL, and MS Access environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SQL Server and cluster-related issues, including system setup, configuration, and error triage.
  • Respond to Requests for Change (RFCs) and FootPrints tickets related to database maintenance and support.
  • Assist users in creating and managing SQL databases and resolving application-related issues (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for database access and performance.
  • Design and implement logical and physical database structures.
  • Monitor and tune database performance; apply patches, upgrades, and security fixes.
  • Maintain documentation for data models, dictionaries, and environment configurations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application integration and performance tuning.
  • Participate in Agile development processes (Scrum or Kanban).
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in SQL Server and related technologies.
  • Experience with MariaDB, MySQL, and MS Access.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, database theory, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS) is a plus.
  • Experience with messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
Target Pay Range The below listed pay range for this position is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The final offered salary will be influenced by a host of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
