Job Description

Insta-Cash Pawn  is looking for individuals to join our team. This is a dual position, Store Manager in Henderson, and Area Supervisor over three other stores. This position is for the Henderson/Nacogdoches/Jacksonville/Lufkin area

As an Area Supervisor at Insta-Cash Pawn, an employee is responsible for managing the daily financial and operational performance by supporting and enforcing all Company policies, procedures and programs. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
a) enforcement of all company policy and procedures
b) in conjunction with Human Resources, recruit, hire, train and retrain employees
c) execute new policies, procedures and programs as developed by the company
d) manage customer service initiatives and complaints
e) manage overall store operations
f) communication of company objectives to store level employees 
g) provide recommended changes to company policy, procedure and programs, as necessary, to grow the business.

This position reports directly to the Business Development Manager.

Positions directly reporting to the Area Supervisor include Senior Manager(s) and Store Manager(s).

Primary Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  1. Drive Loan Balance Growth, Sales and Profitability
    • Responsible to drive area loan balance growth, sales and profit plans to pre-determined goals through successful leadership, organizational plans, customer service and outstanding execution of all field operations strategies, consistently across all stores.
    • Know and manage the business by effectively utilizing Goals & Objectives, assessing individual store results and developing specific actions directly related to growth, consistently across all stores.
    • Lead and direct the development of store level loan balance and sales goals and action plans for store teams directly tied into measurable results along with timely and consistent execution.
    • Know our customers by interacting with the customers on the pawn counter and sales floor by observing loan and shopping behaviors and employee/customer experience.
    • Responsible to ensure that all employees within the assigned region are current with product knowledge, product use and product value through a commitment to formalized training and development within prescribed time lines and standards.
    • Accountable to ensure that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clearly outlined performance improvement plans.
  • Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of regulations in place by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of regulations in place by the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner.

  1. Customer Engagement
    • Focus on Customer engagement through quality, ideas, acknowledgment and inspiration, which leads to an emotional and loyal brand/customer attachment.
    • Ensure that all employees greet, engage, demonstrate, inspire and manage the floor and customer flow towards an outstanding in store customer experience.
    • Set high expectations for excellent customer service and hold the management team accountable to the measurable results associated.

  1. Control Store Inventory
    • Ensure that each store employee is trained and compliant with all basic inventory management processes including strategic pricing and inventory turn standards ultimately leading to optimal loan and inventory yields.
    • Ensure that each store is accurately utilizing all marketing and inventory labels in order to maintain visual/merchandising company standards, coupled with an outstanding customer engagement culture.
    • The store merchandising environment must be deliberately focused on getting a customer excited about the uniqueness of the merchandise and the possibilities that may exist.

  1. Recruitment/Hiring/Training and Retention of Top Talent
    • Ensure the overall ‘people plan’ of the area reflects high standards and succession planning, coupled with consistent mentoring and leadership development.
    • Manage stores to work within labor scheduling models which best meet customer needs.
    • Ensure stores have bench strength for future management needs both in existing and new markets.
    • Responsible to maintain a current career path/employee assessment overview of each store team.

  1. Operations
    • Manage store management teams to successful company, local, state, federal and human resource compliance standards.  Conduct training/inspection audits quarterly in each store.
    • Understand and administer the HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance with them, consistently between stores.

  1. Communication
    • Responsible for consistently and effectively communicating the company objectives to all store management teams.
    • Responsible for consistently and effectively communicating the area’s improvement plan(s) to the Business Development Manager (weekly at minimum) via conference calls and email.

Job Specifications

  • Associate’s Degree or Related Experience Required
  • Must meet all eligibility requirements for a Pawnbroker License in the State of Texas
  • Must pass drug test
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Programs
  • Ability to utilize a computer
  • Proactive nature

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a stressful environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
