Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a NE or compact license and advanced certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in an acute care hospital setting within a Level 1 Trauma Interventional Radiology (IR) unit
  • Patient population includes diagnostics, embolizations, carotid stents, and thrombectomies
  • Unit is equipped with Siemens Artis Icono and utilizes Epic EMR
  • The shift is four 10-hour days (Monday-Friday) from 7:30am to 4:30pm with cyclic scheduling
  • On-call responsibilities are required 10-13 days per month, including some weekends and holidays
  • May float within radiology to start IVs, transport patients, or provide file room coverage, and possibly to Immanuel for stroke or IR cases
  • Orientation is provided over two weeks
  • Provide nursing care for a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including neuro cases
  • Work alongside IR techs, including neuro-trained staff, with support from a charge nurse on each shift
  • Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted up front and is limited to 7 days or less per 13-week contract
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility as determined by the address on their driver’s license
  • Attributes for success include reliability, flexibility, and a strong patient care focus
  • Holiday and on-call rotation required as part of the schedule
\n \n Requirements\n
  • Active NE or compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in IR, ICU, or ER required; neuro experience preferred
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; PALS preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR and Siemens Artis Icono equipment preferred
  • Copy of driver’s license must be submitted and used to verify address for compliance with 50-mile radius rule
  • Must not have current full time, part time, or PRN employment with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities
  • Nurses must pass a skills exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher
  • Professional references required from a supervisor within the last 12 months and from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years
