• BLS - Basic Life Support
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• State License - Copy of Professional License
• State License 1 Verification

Job Details

• Needs to have experience as the role of the baby nurse at time of delivery
• Must be competent to independently receive infants at delivery in role of Baby Nurse (initiate initial steps of resuscitation, assign APGAR scores, initial assessment) for all deliveries 35 weeks and greater.
• Alternative to floating to Pedi or NICU is full float to L&D; however must be fully trained with circulating, OB PACU and high risk OB.
• Competent in couplet care nurse/patient ratio 3-4 couplet assignments
• Must be able to float to 1 other unit in women’s & children’s department with modified assignment: NICU or pediatrics.
• Competent with NST for antepartum patients
• Assignments may include GYN surgical, antepartum, couplet care, well nursery, assist with circumcisions as needed.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 1yr Experience required
• Traveler Experience: Unit accepts first time travelers
• Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Travelers located within 50 miles will receive a $15 rate decrease

Schedule Information

• Shift: 3x12 Days 7a-7:30p, 36hrs only
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: Yes, baby catching in L&D
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required

Unit Specific Information

• Unit accepts first time travelers
• Competent in couplet care nurse/patient ratio 3-4 couplet assignments

Additional Details

• REQUIRED: Need to complete ASAP. SSA release required for all candidates so QM can run the Social Security Verification.
• MA CORI is required for all Massachusetts assignments or travelers who have lived/worked in MA the last 7 years.
• Required - BG team will email CS to request.
