Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Bronx, New York.

Unit Overview

• Department: Telemetry (Tele)
• Number of Beds: 41
• Common Diagnoses: Primarily cardiac and stroke patients
• Nurse:Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
• Experience Required: Must have telemetry experience
• Drip Titration: Not required
• Common Drips: None (no titratable or set-rate drips used)

Staffing & Support

• Charge Nurse: Yes, on every shift; does not take patients unless necessary
• Monitor Techs: Yes, Telemetry Technicians are present; RNs are not required to read their own strips
• Nurse Aides (PCTs): 3–4 per shift
  • Duties: ADLs, patient care, vitals, blood sugar checks, etc.
• RT Support/Respiratory Equipment: Not available on the unit

Scheduling Details

• RN Shifts: 07:00–19:30 & 19:00–07:30
• PCT Shifts:
  • Days: 07:00–15:30
  • Evenings: 15:00–23:30
  • Nights: 23:00–07:30
• Scheduling Notes:
  • Schedules made 4–6 weeks in advance
  • Traveler availability considered, but flexibility is expected
  • Block scheduling not guaranteed

Additional Requirements

• Weekend: Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
• Holidays: May participate in holiday rotation
• Call/Standby: None
• Floating: May float to MS, MS-Tele, or other Tele units within the hospital
• Orientation:
  • 2 days classroom
  • 1 day with a preceptor

Dress Code

• RNs: Royal Blue
• PCTs: Eggplant

Certifications Required

• ACLS
• BLS
