Located in beautiful southern Maine, PVESC is a trusted emergency and specialty hospital offering comprehensive services in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, dermatology, neurology, emergency & critical care, and cardiology.

We’re currently seeking a full-time Surgical Veterinary Assistant to join our growing surgical team!

In this hands-on role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting surgical procedures, prepping patients, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring smooth recovery and top-notch patient care. Requirements

 

What You’ll Do:
  • Assist with surgical preparation, including patient setup and monitoring
  • Maintain sterile environments in surgical suites
  • Support veterinarians and technicians during surgical procedures
  • Monitor and assist with post-operative recovery
  • Ensure exceptional patient care and comfort at all times
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure efficiency and safety
