AMRC offers comprehensive turnkey environmental services performed in-house by knowledgeable professional engineers, geologists, scientists, technicians, and business professionals.

Overview of the position

The successful candidate will manage several environmental site assessment and remediation projects with minimal supervision. Projects will primarily include Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) sites with some privately funded assessments/cleanups and regulatory compliance projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

With minimal supervision and independent decision making:

  • Coordinate fieldwork with project team and subcontractors.
  • Record and interpret data. Conduct research as necessary.
  • Prepare environmental assessment reports.
  • Prepare pilot test and remedial action plans.
  • Plan and perform Phase II ESAs.
  • Prepare Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans
  • Prepare proposals.
  • Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide subcontractor oversight.
  • Conduct site inspections.
  • Collect soil and groundwater samples in accordance with current FDEP SOPs.
  • Observe and follow all company safety rules and procedures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience. PRP experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or geology.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) strongly preferred.
  • 40-Hr HAZWOPR preferred.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn AutoCAD LT preferred.
  • Travel throughout Florida is required (including overnights, company vehicle provided).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability and desire to regularly work outdoors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess current Florida driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening and physical examination.
