Job Summary


Kaukahi, LLC is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the visual communication needs, with responsibilities spanning from design to production. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in graphic design, and print production, preferably within a master planning environment.



Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality illustrations and graphic designs for a variety of documents and training purposes.
• Design layouts using standard grid principles, adhering to correct aspect ratios and material specifications to meet customer requirements.
• Convert slides, photos, and negatives into digital formats (e.g., JPEG, PDF), and securely transfer large files using DoD SAFE or equivalent platforms.
• Produce a wide range of graphics products including overhead transparencies, maps, posters, 2D/3D displays, charts, flyers, and laminations.
• Operate and maintain large-format printing, mounting, and laminating equipment to support production needs.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to graphic production processes and workflows.

• High school education or GED required
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in illustration and graphic design, preferably in a military master planning setting.
• Proficient in graphic design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW, or equivalent).
• Experience in large-format printing and finishing processes (mounting, lamination, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of design principles including color theory, typography, and layout.
• Familiarity with secure file transfer protocols, such as DoD SAFE.

Physical Requirements


Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to 25 pounds as necessary. Optional: Physically able to walk or stand for more than 6 hours per day


Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.

Hourly Rate: ($25.00- $35.00)
