USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments

HOW A SCITLS Virtualization & VDI Lead WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Manages team to provide VDI support including images, infrastructure, networking, Tier 2/3 support, and CDI terminal support.

• Leads modernization initiatives for virtualization efforts such as Infrastructure as Code and Automation.

• Responsible for capacity and user planning and balancing of server and network infrastructure to align with customer requirements.

• Coordinates Authorized Service Interruptions and leads implementation of patching, and configuring virtualized environments.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

• Required Certifications: Security+

• Ability to Obtain ITIL 4 Foundation – ITSM Certification within the first 9 months

• Desired Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundations; VMWare Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV); or VMWare Certified Advanced Professional - Data Center Virtualization Design (VCAP-DCVD); or Microsoft Certified Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty; or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Virtualization; or VMWare Certified Specialist -vSAN; or Dell EMC Proven Professional VxRail and vSAN Specialist

• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI

The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
