Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Security Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Remote with occasional onsite requirements)

Job Type: Contract (6 months)

Time Zone Preference: Pacific or Central Time Zones

Travel: Occasional onsite visits (2–4 days/year)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to join our Information Security team in a contract capacity. This role is key to supporting enterprise-wide identity governance , access controls , and information protection initiatives—primarily through the implementation and support of SailPoint IAM solutions . The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare IT and a deep understanding of IAM principles , compliance, and governance workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational, administrative, and project-based support to the Information Security department.
  • Implement and manage IAM solutions using SailPoint IdentityNow (cloud) and IdentityIQ (on-premise).
  • Configure and maintain SailPoint connectors to integrate with Active Directory, cloud applications, databases, and enterprise systems.
  • Support user lifecycle management including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access updates.
  • Manage access certifications , role mining, and automated governance controls.
  • Develop and maintain compliance reports to meet regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams on RBAC , SSO , MFA , and PAM (Privileged Access Management) integrations.
  • Assist with incident response and general InfoSec operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of IT Security experience , with a focus on Identity and Access Management .
  • Experience working in healthcare IT environments ; knowledge of HIPAA compliance is essential.
  • Proficiency with SailPoint IdentityNow and IdentityIQ , including connector configuration and data integration.
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles , including RBAC, SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with access reviews , certifications, and identity governance.
  • Familiarity with PAM tools (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust) and their integration with IAM systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment while supporting occasional onsite needs.
